Curves and Lines 4
About the Art: From a recent exploration of abstract designs using lines, both straight and curved. This is a collagraph print. The collagraph plate was made using cardboard, incised lines and curves, and carborundum grit. I used a couple different mediums to create the lighter shapes in-between the lines. The plate was printed using the intaglio process whereby the whole plate was covered with the blue/black etching ink then hand wiped to reveal the light areas. The printmaking paper was damp when put through the press to help transfer the ink from the plate to the paper.
This is fourth in a series of four using the same collagraph plate. Slight modifications were made to the printing plate between each printing, enhancing the uniqueness of each across the series of four prints pulled from the plate.
Note: The image of a framed collagraph is another in this series. It is an example only. This listing is for the 4th print in the series. It is not matted nor framed.
DIMENSIONS of The printed image size is 9 inches tall by 7.25 inches wide.
