It is a unique collagraph print, though one of a series printed from a single collagraph plate and the first of two printed in using only Midnight Blue ink. The bold design is formed from carborundum grit on the printing plate. Part of the background is a "ghost" print, a second print from the plate using the ink left over from a first printing. In this case the plate was turned 180 degrees for the second printing.
